Vuthi,83, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2023, surrounded by his loving family in St. George, Utah. Vuthi was born January 18, 1939 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
He is survived by his love, Bounhieng Ouk, his children – Ammone, Lamphonem, Sov, Rithy, Noy and 16 grandchildren.
Vuthi left his beautiful homeland of Cambodia in 1970 to Thailand where he eventually met and married his wife, Bounhieng in 1973. In 1981, he was promoted by the New Administrator of Dixie Medical Hospital in St. George and worked there for 36 years until he retired in 2016.
Some of his greatest joy came from his five children and grandchildren. They created many memories that will be cherished. He loved the great outdoors, he enjoyed water skiing, fishing, hunting, and traveling the world with family and friends. To know him is to love him, anyone that met him would tell you the same thing, “he is the nicest person, always positive never negative nor would he speak unkindly about anyone”. His radiant smile and positive attitude will be dearly missed by many who know him.
His legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we control our attitudes. We choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service.
There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are to our neighbors who were there for us on the day of his passing, Also a heartfelt thank you to all our family and friends who are travelling from afar.
