Obituary

Barbara “Bobbie” Goggins Hamlett, age 85, passed away on Sun, May 29, 2022.

Barbara was Born on September 7, 1936, in Thomaston, Georgia.  Barbara lived in Tucker, Georgia until her move to St. George, Utah in 2019.

Barbara graduated from Piedmont Hospital School of Nursing in 1957.  Barbara’s nursing career focused on dermatology.  She was employed by Dr. Printz in Tucker, Georgia and Kaiser Permanente Crescent Center location in Tucker, Georgia.  She retired in 2001.

She was a member of Embry Hills United Methodist Church Tucker, Georgia.  Barbara loved talking about her family and family history. She loved all animals especially her dog Jake.

She is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 64 years, Perry Austin Hamlett of St. George, Utah; two sons Phillip (Ashley Arledge) and two grandchildren; Cooper and Olivia who reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and Brad (Melissa) of Ivins, Utah.

She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Geraldine Goggins of Thomaston, Georgia.

Perry would like to express his gratitude to Sun Tree Hospice for their dedication to their work and for caring for Barbara.
