Dennis Putnam

Dennis Allen Putnam, 76, passed away March 17, 2023 in St. George, Utah. He was born March 19, 1946 in Long Beach California to Edward Adrian Putnam and Ruth Leona Lehman.

He married Susan Marie Pearson (02/13/1948-11/05/2009). They were married in Thousand Oaks California on September 2, 1972 and were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple November 6, 1974. He married Dawna Lamb September 24, 2019 in St. George Utah.

A life sketch -Dennis had a firm testimony of his Savior Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many capacities including as an ordinance worker in the St. George temple and as a Service Missionary. He taught his children to work hard, be honest, be faithful, and trust in their Heavenly Father. Dennis enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go camping and fishing with his wife and friends. He loved to laugh, joke around, and was a people person. He was always trying to make others smile, especially cashiers, much to the embarrassment of his children. He will be greatly missed to all who knew and loved him.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents

Edward Adrian Putnam (09/12/1922-08/26/1984) and

Ruth Leona Lehman (01/11/1920-03/14/1992),

his wife Susan Marie Pearson (02/13/1948-11/05/2009),

and his sister Roxana Marlene Baribault (05/11/1950-04/17/2001).

He is survived by his wife: Dawna Lamb Putnam; children: Jessica Greb (Jason) St. George UT, Shawna Beatty (David Swift) Beaver Dam KY, Denae Syphus (David) Sierra Vista AZ, David Putnam (Chantell) St. George UT, Brian Putnam (Annie) Troy TX, Mary Ellen Cox (Cameron) St. George UT, Zachary Putnam St. George UT, Mark Putnam (Jennifer) Hurricane UT; grandchildren: Alexandria, Isaac, Forest, Ivy, Cedar, Awnan, Anneke, Finnian, Joshua, Lydia, Isabella, Noah, Abigail, Aubrey, Cameron, Tatum, Ethan, and Caitlyn.  brothers; Richard Putnam, Norman Putnam.

Graveside services will be Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 3pm at the Ivins City Cemetery under the direction of McMillan Mortuary 435-688-8880. Condolences may be shared at mcmillanmortuary.com
