Eileen Louise Stowell Bosshardt, 81, returned home to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 8, 2021. She passed away peacefully at her home in Beryl, Utah.
Eileen was born March 3, 1940 to Elvin and Mary Stowell in Victorville, California, where she spent her early childhood years. In the spring of 1956 the Stowell family moved to Beryl, Utah where Eileen met the love of her life, Nyal Bosshardt. They were married June 22, 1957 in Enterprise, Utah, later sealed in the St. George LDS temple.
Nyal bought the farm from his father and Nyal and Eileen worked together to make the farm a success. Eileen was a hardworking farm wife that drove truck when the hay needed hauled, moved siphons when the water needed changed, fed and watered livestock, gardened and canned, and cooked meals each and every day to make sure everyone was well fed.
Eileen was the mother to five children; Vernon, Nyleen, Marie, Christine, and David. Her life was centered on her family. She was an excellent seamstress, making most of her children’s clothing. She was a wonderful cook, feeding anyone who came to visit. Eileen enjoyed making quilts, crocheting and baking.
Eileen is survived by her children; Vernon (Tammy) Bosshardt of Beryl, Utah; Nyleen (Dave) Deuel of Brookside, Utah; Marie (Orson) Perkes of Eden, Idaho; Christine (Crispell) Volnick of Poughkeepsie, New York; David (Ginger) Bosshardt of Beryl, Utah; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Clyde (ElRue) Stowell of Springfield, Missouri and Neil Stowell of Beryl, Utah.
Eileen is preceded in death by her husband Nyal, her parents, her sister May, and a brother James.
We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Zion’s Way Hospice for their loving care of our Mother the last few weeks of her life.
