Glen Pierce

Glen H. Pierce, 74, passed away on March 8, 2021 in St. George, Utah.  He was born on April 14, 1946 in Payson, Utah to Paul Clinton Pierce and Sarah Bernice Pierce.  He married Kay Bain in Farmington, Utah on October 3, 1968 and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 20, 1976.

Glen was raised in Spanish Fork, Utah and in Green River, Wyoming where he graduated from Green River High School.  He and Kay later settled in St. George, UT.  He worked as a manufacturer’s representative for packaging companies for nearly 50 years.  Glen enjoyed many interests during his life and particularly loved to learn anything related to History and the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Glen was also keenly interested in people, and especially in the care and well-being of his family.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  He served in many positions in the Church.  He most cherished serving as ward mission leader in Memphis, TN and the 10 years he spent serving in the YSA wards at DSU where he served as a counselor in the bishopric and later as Bishop.

He is survived by his wife, Kay; children Russell Pierce of Herriman, UT and Aimee (Rodney) Stirling of Frazeysburg, OH; and his grandchildren Jaden, Ethan, McKenna, Courtney, Garrett, Dallin, and Hilary.  He is also survived by his sisters Ann Craig, Pam Martin, and Beryl Martinez, and his brother, Roger (Janice) Pierce.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Sarah Pierce and by his brother, Claude Pierce.

Funeral Services will be Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:00am at 3381 Mulberry Drive, St. George, UT 84790. Visitation will be immediately before the service from 9:30-10:45am at the same location. This service will also be live streamed for those unable to join in person, click on the link below. Interment will be at Tonaquint Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. George Regional Hospital ICU for their heroic service and their compassionate care for Glen and the entire family. You are truly angels on earth and we will be forever grateful for each one of you.
