Jeffrey Averett

January 30, 1973 — July 22, 2021

Williston, North Dakota

Jeffrey Averett, 48, passed away on July 22, 2021 in Williston, North Dakota.  He was born on January 30, 1973 in Bountiful, Utah to Jerry and Bonnie Averett.  He married Crystal Hartman on June 26, 1993 in St. George, Utah.

Jeff grew up in Bountiful, Utah until about the age of 13, when he and his family moved to St. George, Utah.  He attended and graduated from Pine View High School in 1991.

Jeff had an extraordinary ability to touch the lives of everyone he met and he would help anyone who crossed his path.  His contagious smile, sense of humor, and fun personality brought joy to everyone he would encounter.  Whenever he was with his family, they always knew when he was happy because he would manifest it through whistling and more whistling.

He was a hard worker and he excelled at any job he did, giving it 110%.  Jeff had knowledge of every aspect of the Oil Company where he worked.  His calm demeanor and problem solving abilities allowed him to tackle the many problems presented to him everyday.  He was willing to help in any capacity.

Jeff loved his wife and four kids very much.  He especially loved being a Dad.  His face would light up whenever he spoke about his kids; it was very evident how proud he was of them.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal; children Cayden, Emery, Auberin and Ethan.  He is also survived by his parents, Jerry and Bonnie Averett, as well as his sisters; Tammy, Linda (Dave), Teri (Scott), Tracy (Chuck), Lisa and Lori.

Funeral Services will be Friday, June 30, 2021 at 11:30 am at 750 Fort Pierce Dr. St. George, UT  84790.  Visitation will be immediately before the service from 10:30-11:15 am at the same location.  Interment will be at Cedar City Cemetery.

Goodbyes are not forever.  Goodbyes are not the end.  They simply mean we’ll miss you until we meet again.

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

you did not go alone;  for part of us

went with you,

the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories,

your love is still our guide;

and though we cannot see you,

you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken and

nothing seems the same,

but as God calls us one by one,

the chain will link again.
