Leo Skinner

March 18, 1926 — July 16, 2022

St. George, Utah

Leo Burgess Skinner, 96, of St. George, Utah, passed away July 16, 2022, peacefully and humbly, as he lived his life.

Leo was an active and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he held many callings including Bishop of the Hesperia, California Ward.

After serving in WWII, Leo was called to a mission in the Four Corner States, after which he met and married Ruth Jueschke of Glendora, California, in the Logan Temple. Leo and Ruth enjoyed 70 years of marriage, until Ruth passed away September 1, 2019.

One of Leo’s greatest joys was working in the  Los Angeles and St. George Temples with Ruth.

Leo is survived by his five children, Larry D. (Vicki), Barbara L., Paul W. (Debbie), Donna M. Borck (Bill), and John L., 17 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at McMillan Mortuary located at 499 E. Tabernacle, St. George, Utah 84770.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 10:00am at Ivins Utah City Cemetery.
